mean credit/archaic practice #1

01-10-2000 10:59:25 p.m.

i don't think that rich people deserve to have more space than the rest of us. i really don't.

wrote a mean letter to my credit card company today. do you realize how much control they have over you? they forget to tell the credit reporting agencies about you and your whole life is ruined. well, if you're looking for an apartment in new york or trying to get a lower APR, it can be. even when you've had the damn card for five years.

"spoke" to jacqui a lot this evening. ohio apparently just "renewed" its ban on gay marriage and this sparked a little conversation. this person has the right idea. but more specifically to gay marriage, i think that ruthann robson's argument in sappho goes to law school is the best i've ever read. to be honest, i don't think anybody should be getting married anymore. its crap. archaic, patriarchal, "the-government-benefits-me-because- they-know-who-i-fuck-on-a-regular-basis" crap.

sorry, mom.

anyway, that felt good. have a good night. and for chrissakes, don't get married tonight.
